Parabola

Tool - Parabola

We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment,
We are choosing to be here right now. hold on, stay inside...
This holy reality, this holy experience. choosing to be here in...

This body. this body holding me. be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion.

Alive

This holy reality, in this holy experience. choosing to be here in...

This body. this body holding me. be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion...
Of what it means to be alive

Swirling round with this familiar parable.
Spinning, weaving round each new experience.
Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this
Chance to be alive and breathing
Chance to be alive and breathing.

This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. remember. we are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

The stain and the light

Posted on May 4th, 2007 by ebuddha : Non-Dual tech trainer ebuddha
the stain spreads, opaque then clear, the light shining through,

Twirling and tumbling, the light is viewed again

This joy thsi peace, then the stain covers all, this back and forth of recognition and covering.

Covering, seeping, light, then darkness, the muddy gray.

Looking like a war, but merely a tumble in the water, as the stain spreads, masking the ocean.

But the ocean is always here, present, and breathing.

Google Reader Trends

Posted on May 6th, 2007 by ebuddha : Non-Dual tech trainer ebuddha
There's been some cool improvements with Google Reader, in regards to developing you trends of what you are reading and spending your time on.

This is a bit older now, but it seems to have gottten better recently,
at least since trends starts in January.
At any rate, it's interesting to see that of my over 100 subscriptions, I've read 1200 articles, and see the dispersion of spiritual versus tech versus news, in the last 30 days.

What European City Do I Belong In?

Posted on May 9th, 2007 by ebuddha : Non-Dual tech trainer ebuddha
Quiz says it's Dublin:

Friendly and down to earth, you want to enjoy Europe without snobbery or pretensions.
You're the perfect person to go wild on a pub crawl... or enjoy a quiet bike ride through the old part of town.

Help!! A bike, a computer, a store. I am an SF caricature!

Posted on May 12th, 2007 by ebuddha : Non-Dual tech trainer ebuddha
So I've recently gotten this cool little bike.  Got the bike, the helmet, etc.  (and it has been GREAT for San Francisco, I must say!)

I also, a few months ago, got the apple macbook pro.

So, I find myself the other, day, in front of the SF Apple store, folding up my bike, helmet attached to my backpack, with my apple computer, going in and getting the Mighty Mouse, for the apple computer.

I see a reflection of myself, in the mirror.

a. Just got out of my tech job, South of Market.
b. Bike helmet on, with "slacker" clothes.  The long shorts and the hoodie.
c. My folding bike, in one hand.
d. My computer in front of me.
d. Starbucks chai in the other hand.

And I realize, I have now officially become a representative of that San Francisco caricature.

bike riding, computer notebook toting, starbucks, meditation guy.

Hmm...someone help me out here (seriously) - have I gone completely to the dark side, or am I living in the light???

I'm not TRYING to live in pretense, that's the thing.  The lifestyle is just insidious!

I need a job, right?  I'm fairly bright, might as well work in a technical field (but I work mostly with people, thankfully.)

I need a computer - and apples are good computers, especially since they can now run windows, right?

I need to keep in shape - so riding a bike to and back from work, is actually quicker, and I get exercise.

It's cold in the city, and a lot of wind, so when I ride, I need to have something thick and loose while exercising, for both the exercise, and to combat the temperature.

the hoodie and long shorts work for that, right?  It's just logical!

Getting a quick chai - I just like the taste, right?

I guess it's true.  You really do adapt to where you live!

Am I doomed???

:)
